Pain, Pain Perception, and Healing: A Primer for Writers

I'm playing with scribd, a service that is described like YouTube for text. I decided to put together the online course I ran on Pain and Healing for writers into an ebook form.

The 38 page book is available free and you can download it here. It has chapters on the anatomy and history of pain, pain perception, wound healing, and fracture healing along with example language in describing pain and injury in a story context.

Let me know what you think, either in comments here or on the scribd site.

  1. thanks for the link... i haven't the time or the excess energy to do it right this moment,,, but i am going to investigate this site and s see what is going on .. this is my first clue it existed.....

  2. I tried to download it, as you said I could, but it won't do it. Then I tried to Select All and copy it, and it wouldn't do that, either. Did you really mean "download"? Thanks.

  3. Anonymous--I'm sorry you had trouble--you can download it here:

If that doesn't work (and sometimes scribd has problems) email me and I will send it to you.
