Release Week, Continued

It's a good thing I'm a writer because I take lousy photographs.  This one does not do justice to the lovely flowers my husband had sent to me yesterday morning in honor of my publication day.  (Orchids and not roses.  I have a thing about roses--long story, including the fact the the florists brought the wrong flowers for our wedding. 23+ years later, it still irks me!) I am so fortunate to have such a supportive family behind me.

This has been quite a ride and I am thrilled to see so many people enjoying the world of Lydia, Clive, and my vision of Faerie.

Some more reviews have been posted on the internet.  Becky Raymond, a book blogger at Inquisitive Hippo reviewed THE BETWEEN here.  Thanks, Becky, for your thoughtful comments!

Some of my reviews have come from queries made to book bloggers, others have appeared 'in the wild'. One of those is this one, by Erin Searles, who looks for debut titles on smashwords for under $3.00 (US) in the fantasy genre.  She samples several and chooses one to review any given week.  She chose to review THE BETWEEN and her thoughts are here. Thank you, Erin, for your review.

Many writers say that reviews are their lifeblood, that they are the new word-of-mouth in the indi age.  That may be so, and I am extremely grateful for them.  I am also humbled and moved by the lovely comments I have been given by writing friends.  Towers of Grey was part of my first ever critique group on Forward Motion for Writers.  From the first work I read of his, I fell in love with his writing.  He was also generous with his critique; honest, kind, and thoughtful. We have kept in touch, even thought the crit group dissolved (as many do) and he is a voice to watch. Thanks you, Grant, for your lovely post about my release day.
