I wrote this op ed piece for our local paper just days before our fire: When Optimism and Hope Prevail.
And yes, I am still optimistic and hopeful. Call me 'Suzie Sunshine' or label me a pollyanna--I neither deny nor camouflage my basic nature.
How can I not feel this way, given my great good fortune? Look at all of you wonderful people in my life!
