My annual thanksgiving post, a day early

Since hubby and I will be doing our annual kitchen tango tomorrow, I probably won't be on the computer much.  (Yes, it's possible for me to go 24 hours without net access.  Really. . . )  So what am I thankful for?

I am thankful for the love and support of family and friends.  My life is such an embarrassment of riches because of the people in it.

I am thankful for my marriage and the love that continues to sustain it, 21 years later.

I am thankful for apple pie.  (Just putting that out there. . . )

I am thankful for the time and space to be able to write, and the support from my family and agent that encourages me to continue.  (:waves to Nephele!:)

Oh, and the stories and characters--I am grateful that they continue to clutter my brain with their chatter.

I am thankful for my kids who keep me grounded, the dog who shows me the simplicity of her joy, and the ability to laugh at myself.

And since I just returned from visiting for a few days with my parents and they are much on my mind, I am grateful for the space they carved for me in their lives 46 years ago, their love, and their steadfast belief in me.

Happy Thanksgiving.
