"fear and hope ill-matched."
These are the concluding lines from a poem by Christopher T George, a fellow member at Wild Poetry Forum, an editor of Desert Moon Review, co-editor of Loch Raven Review, and all around gracious poet.
Something in this line speaks to me.
One of the joys of belonging to a critique group is the ability to cross-fertilize, to inspire and be inspired by the work of fellow artists. When I read this line, I felt a familiar flutter behind my breastbone. It's the feeling of resonance, the feeling of poetry searching for embodiment. I don't yet know what shape the poem will take, but I know Chris' words have catalyzed it.
